Press Release: [Ocean Non-profit] Seeks Project Proposals for New Investment Areas (Mock Sample)
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
[LOCATION]—As [ocean non-profit] begins its second five-year mandate, the organization is excited to announce the launch of a new call for project proposals focused on four key investment areas: sustainable energy, seafood production, marine transportation, and climate solutions.
“We accomplished a great deal over the course of our first five-year mandate, including launching over 70 projects in the ocean technology and pollution mitigation spaces, and we are eagerly looking forward to reviewing the innovative ideas that we hope this new call for proposals will generate,” says [the Executive Director]. “In consultation with industry experts, our team has chosen these four focus areas because we believe renewable energy, sustainably using our oceans for food production and transportation, and protecting our environment are among the most critical issues of contemporary times and because we believe solving these challenges will help build an economically and environmentally sustainable future for the world’s oceans.”
Proposed projects must be two to three years in duration, include at least two partners, and help build a competitive, innovative, collaborative, and sustainable ocean economy. [Ocean non-profit] encourages innovative ideas and collaborative approaches, with former projects involving a range of partners including small and medium businesses, large and established companies, universities, and Indigenous groups. Past projects have ranged in value from under a million dollars to tens of millions of dollars.
